Built to make market analysis legible for first-time investors.
SQ Capital exists to translate dense market data into structured, backtested signals — without the jargon, the noise, or the assumption that you already know what you're doing.
Why we started here
Most analysis tools are built for people who already understand the terminology. We started SQ Capital with a narrower, more honest goal: give someone opening their first brokerage account a way to see what the data is actually saying, presented plainly and backed by a documented, testable process.
Rather than chasing predictions or promising outsized returns, we focus on structured probability — showing what historical patterns suggest, how confident that view is, and where it could be wrong. That framing shapes every part of how SQ Capital is built.
What we're actually trying to do
A single, unambiguous purpose that guides product decisions, not a mission statement designed to sound impressive.
Make data legible
Market information should be understandable without a finance degree. We prioritize plain presentation over technical density.
Test before we ship
Every model we surface has been run against historical data first. We don't publish analysis we haven't backtested ourselves.
Show the uncertainty
Probabilistic output stays probabilistic. We don't dress up a statistical estimate as a guarantee.
The principles behind the product
These aren't wall art — they're the constraints we design under.
Transparency by default
If a number appears on screen, its source and method should be traceable. No black-box scores without explanation.
Accessible language
We write for someone opening their first position, not for someone with a trading desk background.
No manufactured urgency
We don't push decisions with countdowns or fear-based framing. Analysis should support decisions, not force them.
Continuous scrutiny
Models are revisited, not set once and left alone. If a method underperforms in testing, it gets revised or retired.
Note: SQ Capital provides data-driven analysis and educational tooling. Nothing on this site constitutes personalized financial advice, and all outputs are probabilistic in nature.
